Human Trafficking is the exploitation of another person through force, fraud, or coercion.
Trafficking is a violation of human rights.
Trafficking can happen to anyone/anywhere.
Victims have diverse backgrounds but are all vulnerable.
There are three categories of trafficking: Sex Trafficking, Forced Labor, Domestric Servitude
Sex Trafficking - forcing and individual to participate in sexual acts against their will.
Forced Labor - Victims work for little to no pay to produce products for sale.
Domestic Servitude - Individual is forced to work in a servitude (nanny, maid, ect.) role for little to no money.
Human trafficking is a hidden crime, victims are afraid to come forward and other people are unable to recognize the signs of trafficking.
